Current Work and Events

Private Practice:  After many years of working in mental health facilities and maintaining a small private practice, I have switched my focus to my private practice.  I am currently accepting new clients.  My specialties include eating disorders, body image, trauma, and women's issues, including issues of age.  My life in the dance world has given me vast perspective on issues relating to body image, eating, and aging.  My certification in the Body Positive has deepened my expertise and skill level.

My commitment to my clients is to explore and deepen their relationship with their body which can enhance the meaning and purpose of their lives.  Internal Family Systems, existential, transpersonal, and feminist orientations can combine with Dance/Movement Therapy to enhance the experience of healing.  Embodied work includes dance, creativity, and meditation, and I am very responsive to my clients' needs in terms of shaping our work together.

I am also available for supervision for dance/movement therapists and for consultation.

Public Speaking:  I receive many requests for public speaking and workshops at conferences and colleges, especially for introductions to Dance/Movement Therapy and its applications to working with people with eating disorders, as well as presenting on the Body Positive and its many benefits.  I have recently been presenting on recovery from trauma through combining Dance/Movement Therapy with Internal Family Systems work. I have been a guest lecturer at JFK University and also at Goucher College.

Workshops, Classes:  I often teach workshops and guest lecture on Dance/Movement Therapy.  I am available to teach modern dance classes, Anna Halprin's Movement Ritual, and creative dance.

My office is located in the Monterey in the historic Mariposa Hall office
